Published on:<\/strong> July 14, 2021<\/em><\/p>\n Recently, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) posted new guidance to its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)<\/a> about travel to provide information about social distancing while traveling.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The new FAQ \u2013 What if I can\u2019t maintain 6 feet of distance from others during travel? \u2013 acknowledges that maintaining physical distance is often difficult on public transportation conveyances, including transit. Therefore, it is essential that drivers, operators, and other transportation staff follow additional preventive measures, such as increasing ventilation and cleaning high-touch surfaces.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Travelers should still take steps to protect themselves and others<\/a>. The CDC also encourages passengers to get vaccinated to protect against COVID-19 and reminds travelers that masks are still required on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation and while indoors at U.S. transportation hubs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n LINKS<\/p>\n
