The legislation supports new programs \u2013 or supplements existing ones \u2013 to enhance safety, modernize and repair transit assets, confront climate change, and improve transit service for communities, including substantial upgrades to station accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>FTA staff will review programmatic changes authorized under the legislation, including creation of four new programs, and how FTA will put funding to work to support transit systems throughout America.
