Published:<\/strong> March 30, 2022<\/em><\/p>\n The Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) is a statewide resource available for anyone to report suspected maltreatment of vulnerable adults. The MAARC reporting system is open is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can report suspected maltreatment of a vulnerable adult by calling 1-844-880-1574<\/strong>. If you make a report, your identity is confidential and cannot be released without a court order.<\/p>\n According to the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS), a vulnerable adult can be anyone over the age of 18 who:<\/p>\n For more information about the MAARC system, visit https:\/\/mn.gov\/dhs\/people-we-serve\/adults\/services\/adult-protection\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n RTAP also offers a course called Recognizing & Reporting Abuse for (formerly known as Maltreatment Awareness) available online or in-person.<\/strong><\/p>\n Recognizing and Reporting Abuse is recommended for drivers within 45 days of hire. This abuse-prevention training educates staff about protecting and reporting maltreatment of vulnerable adults and minors.
