FTA Seeks Comment on Proposed Updates to the Joint Development Circular<\/h2>\n

Published on: <\/strong><\/em>February 4, 2023<\/em><\/p>\n

Following changes to FTA\u2019s Joint Development program made by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, FTA is requesting public comment on a potential change to the updated Joint Development guidance. The proposed guidance (Circular 7050.1C<\/a>) will supersede Circular 7050.1B, once finalized.<\/p>\n

FTA published a notice summarizing proposed changes to Circular 7050.1B in the Federal Register<\/a>, with comments due by March 31, 2023.<\/p>\n

The proposed update incorporates changes that added \u201ctechnology to fuel a zero-emission vehicle\u201d as an eligible joint development improvement under the definition of a \u201ccapital project.\u201d These changes would impact eligibility criteria for FTA-assisted capital projects by changing fee collection requirements for joint development projects that include zero-emission vehicle charging.<\/p>\n

FTA recommends that interested stakeholders review the proposed changes to the Circular and provide comment on any impacts they may have on future joint development projects.<\/p>\n

You can review this notice and comment on the proposed changes by March 31, 2023, at the Federal Register<\/a>.<\/p>\n
