FTA Earth Day Event to Celebrate Climate Challenge Participants<\/h2>\n

Join FTA for an Earth Day Event on Thursday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET to celebrate the accomplishments of transit agencies as part of FTA\u2019s Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge<\/a>. During the virtual event<\/a>, FTA will recognize transit leaders who committed to actions to curb their greenhouse gas emissions.<\/p>\n

FTA\u2019s Climate Challenge<\/a> encourages transit agencies to take bold actions and prioritize investments to help tackle the climate crisis. Since the launch of the Challenge in June 2021, 220 agencies have signed on. Over 90 of the participating agencies have developed climate action plans that outline strategies to achieve measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Together, these agencies are helping advance President Biden\u2019s ambitious greenhouse gas reduction and climate equity goals.<\/p>\n
