Expired CTAA’S 2020 Fundamental Intensive Training: Fit for Success

RTAP will cover the costs for certification courses during CTAA’s FIT (Fundamental Intensive Training) for Success online event November 9–10.

If you are committed to taking any of the following courses, please email mariah.helgeson@mnrtap.net which course you’d like to take as soon as possible and RTAP will send your name to CTAA to register you if there is still space available. Space is extremely limited, especially for PASS Train the Trainer which is only accepting 10–15 total participants for each day (They are offering the course twice, once on Monday, once on Tuesday for two separate groups of 10–15).

The sooner you email RTAP, the better likelihood you’ll have of getting into the course. If the course has already been filled, RTAP will add you to a waiting list for future virtual trainings, dates TBD.

Attendance will be verified by CTAA and RTAP. If you register but do not attend any or all of the sessions you register for, you will be invoiced for the full cost of the training (noted below for each course). 

All courses have a recommended 1-2 hours of pre-work, and PASS Train the Trainer requires that you take approximately 7 hours of self-paced online coursework prior to the day of the course. Only sign up if you can commit to the full coursework and pre-work.

We especially encourage anyone with expiring certifications to apply as soon as possible. Each course listed below will last the full day, some courses, noted below, will last a full 2 days. Course descriptions may be found here: https://ctaa.org/fit-2020/

Here are the courses available for registration:

Trainings on both November 9–10, all day, 9–3pm CT

• Preparing for the Certified Community Transit Manager (CCTM) Exam — $450 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration); 30 seats available
• Vehicle Maintenance Management and Inspection (VMMI) — $450 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration); 30 seats available
• Certified Safety and Security Officer (CSSO) — $450 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration); 30 seats available

Trainings on November 9 only, all day, 9–3pm CT

• Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) Train the Trainer: Monday — $450 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration); 10–15 seats available
• Safety Culture and Safety Management — $200 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration); 30 seats available
• Innovative Trends in Mobility and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) – Sponsored by Uber |Routematch — Free
• The Human Services Transportation Re-Boot — $75 cost (billed to you if you cancel your registration)
