Communication between dispatchers and drivers is key to transit service. This webinar will provide ways to enhance communication and provide the tools and techniques to support positive interaction between dispatchers and drivers.

This two-hour webinar will provide dispatchers and schedulers successful methods and best practices in interacting with transit riders, operators and the public. The course will provide an understanding of how to balance dispatch efficiency with positive customer interaction. Participants will learn how to apply empathy while minimizing the time spent with riders once trip information has been obtained. Dispatchers are constantly interacting with operators and the public and must be able provide professional judgement, respond to crisis and ensure safety all while projecting a positive attitude to those who need the service the most.
