FTA Announces $8.9 Million Funding Opportunity for Tribal Transit Projects

FTA today announced the availability of $8.9 million in Fiscal Year 2023 competitive grant funding to support transit services for American Indian tribes and Alaska Native villages in rural areas.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, signed into law by President Biden in November 2021, increased competitive funding for the Tribal Transit Program by nearly 83% per year for five years. This is the second consecutive year of increased funding for the program through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Instructions for applying can be found on and in GRANTS.GOV (FTA-2023-010-TPM-TRIBAL). Complete proposals must be submitted electronically through the GRANTS.GOV “APPLY” function by June 26, 2023.
