FTA Announces Request for Information on Transit Worker Safety

Today, FTA announced a Request for Information (RFI) soliciting public input on potential transit worker safety mitigations, including potential minimum safety standards for roadway worker protection programs and operator assault prevention. All comments are due by Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

The transit industry’s input is critically important in identifying and proactively mitigating safety concerns for transit workers. FTA will use this information to evaluate potential action to mitigate identified safety risks.
