FTA & FMCSA to Host ELDT Rule Requirement Webinar

You’re invited to join FTA and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) for a webinar on the FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Rule Requirement. Register to join the discussion on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 1:00 pm–2:00 pm CT. This webinar will provide an overview of the ELDT Final Rule and Training Provider Registry, plus outline the driver, training and training provider requirements.

Enacted in 2016, the ELDT regulation sets Federal standards for mandatory training of entry-level drivers obtaining a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the first time, upgrading an existing Class B CDL to a Class A CDL, and obtaining the hazardous materials, passenger or school bus driving endorsements for the first time. Compliance with these regulations is expected and required by Monday, February 7, 2022.
