Human Trafficking Prevention Resources

Published on: December 21, 2022

Public transportation intersects almost every form of human trafficking and we all play a vital role in stopping it. Busing on the Lookout (BOTL) is a national organization offering free industry specific training, toolkits or materials, and has been used by over 245 transit agencies to provide additional training to their staff. For additional information and resources, visit the National Human Trafficking Hotline website, call 888-373-7888 or text 233733.

The bus industry has a key role to play in combating human trafficking, particularly as frontline employees may be coming into contact with victims of human trafficking in the course of their everyday jobs. Learn more about each transit subset’s possible intersections with human trafficking and how you can get involved in fighting this heinous crime: School Transportation, Transit & Motorcoach, Casinos & Buses.
