Office of Management and Budget’s Initial Implementation Guidance on Application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure

On April 18, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued initial guidance on implementation of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), which was enacted as Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Pub. L. 117-58. Federal agencies, including FTA, will begin implementing BABA on May 14, 2022.
The U.S. Department of Transportation will be issuing more information regarding implementation of the requirements in the near future.
