Register for 2022 FTA Transit Asset Management (TAM) Virtual Roundtable

Published on: May 15, 2022

FTA will host the 2022 FTA Transit Asset Management Virtual Roundtable on July 19, 2022, from 12:00-2:30 p.m. CT. This annual roundtable serves as a venue for participants from across the country to discuss the management of transit capital assets. Some of the highlights of the roundtable will include an FTA presentation on updates from the Transit Asset Management Program and a panel of transit agency executive leaders who will discuss the future of transit asset management planning and how they integrate such planning at their agencies. The panel will include executives from SporTran in Shreveport, Louisiana; Metro Transit in Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota; and Dallas Area Rapid Transit in Dallas, Texas.

FTA’s Transit Asset Management Program is designed to help transit agencies keep their assets in good repair. As of 2016, approximately 21 percent of buses and 10 percent of rail assets were in marginal or poor condition, with a backlog of $105.1 billion in deferred maintenance and replacement costs.

Register for the event by July 12, 2022. To submit potential topics you would like to see covered during the roundtable, email TAMRoundtable@dot.gov.
