Register for Building the Business Case for Low-Carbon Public Transportation Service (April 6)

Published: March 31, 2022

Transit agencies play a critical role in creating communities that are sustainable, resilient, greener and more equitable. Join FTA and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) for a webinar, Building the Business Case for Low-Carbon Public Transportation Service, on Wednesday, April 6. Register for the free event to learn how adoption of low-carbon and sustainability practices can reduce costs and contribute to a healthy triple bottom line.

The webinar is part of FTA’s Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge, which supports President Biden’s goal of achieving a 50-percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 2005 levels by 2030. The challenge encourages transit agencies to adopt GHG emission reduction initiatives, such as having climate action or sustainability plans or through converting fleets to electric buses, making facilities more energy efficient and other technologies.

FTA will continue to share resources and provide opportunities to engage with transit agencies on how the industry can achieve the Administration’s GHG emission reduction goals, as well as their own agency targets.
