Register for Best Practices in Developing Climate Action Plans Webinar

Published on: September 3, 2021

Transit agencies play a critical role in creating communities that are sustainable, resilient, greener and more equitable. Join FTA and the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) for a webinar, Best Practices in Developing Climate Action Plans, on Thursday, September 9. Register for the free event to take your efforts to the next level by learning how a Climate Action Plan can guide your operations in the era of climate change.

The webinar is part of FTA’s Sustainable Transit for a Healthy Planet Challenge, which supports President Biden’s goal of achieving a 50-percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 2005 levels by 2030. The challenge encourages transit agencies to adopt GHG emission reduction initiatives, such as having climate action or sustainability plans or through converting fleets to electric buses, making facilities more energy efficient and other technologies.

FTA will continue to share resources and provide opportunities to engage with transit agencies on how the industry can achieve the Administration’s GHG emission reduction goals, as well as their own agency targets.
